Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique (ART) is a movement-based treatment designed to relieve those tight spots and knots via the removal of fibrosis, or adhesions, which develop as a result of trauma. This trauma can be due to injury, repetitive movements, overuse syndromes or chronic bad posture. These adhesions cause reduced range of motion, loss of flexibility, tightness and pain. Once these areas are identified, they are targeted by one or more ART treatment protocols that combine precise touch with specific client movements to reduce pain and restore proper function. Heal from injuries faster, restore flexibility, and gain greater mobility in those problem areas.
